President's Message March 2026

Our gatherings serve as a reminder that we are not doing this work alone

Dear Colleagues,

One of the most meaningful parts of NADOHE each year is the opportunity to come together as a community. Our Annual Conference creates space to reconnect with colleagues, exchange ideas, and reflect on how we continue advancing equity, justice, and inclusive excellence in higher education.

I am looking forward to gathering with many of you in Philadelphia from March 25–28 for this year’s conference. These few days offer something that is difficult to replicate elsewhere. They bring together leaders who understand both the challenges and the purpose of this work, and they create room for thoughtful dialogue, shared learning, and renewed energy.

The conference program reflects the depth of experience across our membership. Through keynote conversations, workshops, research-informed sessions, and peer discussions, participants will explore strategies for supporting students, faculty, and staff while navigating a rapidly changing environment for higher education. Just as important are the moments between sessions, when conversations continue, relationships grow, and new ideas begin to take shape.

For many of us, these gatherings serve as a reminder that we are not doing this work alone. The strength of NADOHE has always been the people who make up this community and the willingness to learn from and support one another.

If you have already registered, thank you for making time to be part of the conference. Your presence helps shape the dialogue and learning that take place each year.

If you have not yet registered, there is still time! I encourage you to review the program and register here. I hope you will join us in Philadelphia and contribute your perspective to the conversations ahead.

I look forward to connecting with many of you soon.

 In community,

Emelyn A. dela Peña, Ed.D.
