Registration for the 2024 NADOHE Annual Conference, to be held in Seattle, Washington from March 13-16, 2024, is now open!

Accessibility at the 2024 NADOHE Annual Conference

NADOHE seeks to create a conference experience that is inclusive, welcoming, and accessible for all conference attendees. There is a space on the conference registration form where accessibility needs can be indicated. The registrant will be contacted following completion of this information so to ensure accommodation at the meeting. Notification via the registration form and/or to annualconference@nadohe.org by February 1 will allow adequate time to ensure your needs are accommodated.

Following is what is currently planned for the conference:

  • An ASL provider will be retained upon request to ensure registrant accommodations are met during pre-determined sessions tailored to the registrant's schedule.
  • Presenters will be asked to use a microphone during all keynotes, concurrent sessions and workshops.
  • Presenters will be asked to communicate the content of their slides verbally and to initiate the PowerPoint closed captioning feature when possible.
  • All meeting spaces are accessible for wheelchairs and scooters, including session room center and side aisle widths, as well as spaces at the end of aisles for wheelchair or scooter placement.
  • Reserved seating will be made available in the front row of each meeting room for those who wish to sit closer to the front of the room for sight or hearing purposes.
  • Conference staff are informed and will be able to direct individuals to accessible pathways throughout the meeting space.
  • Registrants will have access to a nursing lounge/lactation room.
  • A quiet room for prayer or meditation will be designated.
  • All-gender restrooms will be available at the conference hotel.
