1. What is your title and role within your institution?
   
   As the first ever Director of Campus Diversity and Inclusion in a University founded in 1780, my responsibility is to promote understanding, awareness and dialogue about the relevance of diversity and the importance of an inclusion culture on campus.
   
   
2. What would you want the world to know about your institution’s commitment to diversity?
   
   Diversity and Inclusion constitute one of the goals of the University’s 2012/2017 Strategic Plan presently under preparation. Together with the creation of the Office of Campus Diversity and Inclusion reporting directly to the President, the University is now supporting programs being developed to assist faculty in curriculum infusion, to assist admissions to increase international and out of state recruitment, to create support mechanisms to solve student adaptation issues while strengthening an inclusion culture and is starting to develop additional collaborative partnerships with the larger community in order to provide opportunities for students, faculty and staff to interact more deeply and therefore to create additional personal growth opportunities.
   
   
3. Why did you join NADOHE?
   
   Having spent three decades as an International Official of the United Nations, one of the most diverse organizations in the world, serving as its UN Development Program Resident Representative in over a dozen countries, I feel the need to get to know my colleagues in the diversity field across the nation. I want to engage in conversations about diversity in higher education today, as it is a complex and fascinating topic where practitioners have different viewpoints and lessons of experience.
   
   
4. What do you hope to gain from your NADOHE membership?
   
   I want to learn and to contribute in an open and concerned environment with my new peers. Their lessons of experience, including publications, will be of great value to me. I am sure my membership will enable me to do just that.
